The Bird’s Nest Fern or Asplenium nidus is one of the several popular and beautiful ferns grown as houseplants. Ferns like this one can be grown in North facing windows perfectly well and will truly relish the type of light and cooler temperatures these places receive.
This interesting plant does not have typical fern fonds, but instead has solid
tongue-shaped fronds that come up from a central rosette. This evergreen fern belongs to group known as bird’s nest. In Japanese language its known as tani-watari. It has bright green, arching blades with a pointed end and a strong midrib.
